Seizure of unauthorised veterinary medicine for horses
Tub of Krauterhof Konjski balsam was seized at a Belfast courier company.
A package containing an unauthorised veterinary medicine was identified by a courier company based at a depot in Belfast.
The package had arrived from Serbia destined for a residential address in Northern Ireland. It was detained and subsequently seized by an inspector from the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA).
The following product was seized:
- Krauterhof Konjski balzam
This product is not authorised for use in GB or NI and was not accompanied by any relevant certification to permit importation.
The medicine was seized under Regulation 25 (Importation of unauthorised veterinary medicinal products) of the Veterinary Medicines Regulations 2013.
