Queen’s Birthday Honours 2017

The Queen’s Birthday Honours list recognises over 130 people for their contribution to education, children’s services and equality.

The Queen’s Birthday Honours list published on Friday 16 June 2017 recognises over 130 people who have made outstanding contributions to education, children’s services or advancing equality and diversity.

Those honoured today include people working in schools, colleges and universities as well as foster carers and children’s social workers.

Jonathan Slater, Department for Education Permanent Secretary, said:

I would like to congratulate everyone recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list. These are extraordinary people, whose achievements improve the lives of children, young people and adults through excellent care and education, and promoting equality and diversity for all.
