The Prime Minister's Official Spokesperson answered questions on Lord Freud, the Recall Bill, the NHS and Ebola.

Lord Freud

When asked about Lord Freud, the Prime Minister’s Official Spokesperson (PMOS) said Lord Freud’s full and unreserved apology had been exactly the right thing to do.

Recall Bill

When asked about the forthcoming second reading of the Recall of MPs Bill, the PMOS said the Prime Minister will want to hear what members of the House of Commons have to say, and what ideas they might have on the issue.

NHS

When asked about extra funding for the NHS during the winter, the PMOS said the government had already announced additional funding for the NHS to respond to pressures this winter.

Ebola

When asked about UK military personnel in Sierra Leone, the PMOS said the government had made a significant deployment to the region, including Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA) ship Argus which is set to sail to the region tomorrow.
