One of the requirements of the Hallmarking Act 1973 is that all dealers supplying precious metal jewellery shall display a notice explaining the approved hallmarks.

Notices are available in 3 formats:

  • downloadable PDF - this must printed out in black and white (minimum 300dpi, A4 size) and clearly displayed on your premises - please click on the link to an assay office website:
  • hard copy, available from the 4 assay offices at a cost of £10.00 each including VAT + prevailing postage costs
  • hi-resolution artwork - please contact 1 of the 4 assay offices for more details
