Information and communications technology product surgery held

On 25 February the Department of Health held its first information and communications technology (ICT) themed product surgery for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

The SMEs each registered to participate in central government SME product surgeries by responding to an open invitation from the Cabinet Office.

The ICT themed SME product surgery, was an opportunity for SMEs in the ICT market to pitch their products and services, and highlight any potential savings, to a panel of senior procurement and ICT officials in the department. A representative from the Government Procurement Service attended as well.

The surgery gave an opportunity for officials in the department to learn more about what is currently available in the ICT market and in particular about any potentially innovative solutions. Neil Griffiths, the department’s SME champion, would like to thank the four SMEs that participated:

The department intends to have follow-up conversations with some of the SMEs to further explore potential opportunities and hold further SME product surgeries in the future.
