Foreign Secretary’s Diwali message for 2014

Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond sends his best wishes to those celebrating Diwali across the world.

I would like to wish all Hindu, Sikh and Jain communities in Britain and across the world a very happy and peaceful Diwali.

As families and friends gather to celebrate this holy festival of lights and pray for the triumph of good over evil, I wish you all good health, happiness and joyful times in the coming year.

Happy Diwali and a prosperous new year.
