I am appalled by the fatal attacks on students in the towns of Maiduguri and Damaturu and wish to offer my deepest condolences and sympathies to the families of those killed and to those injured. There is no justifying attacks such as these which targeted young Nigerians working hard for their futures. I condemn them in the strongest of terms.
