Durvet Horse Wormer Seized
Veterinary medicine for horses from the USA seized at East Midlands Airport.
A package containing a veterinary medicine was identified by a courier company based at a depot in the East Midlands.
The package arrived from the USA containing medicine destined for an address in Hertfordshire.
The following medicine was detained and subsequently seized by an inspector from the VMD:
- 1 x box of Ivermectin Paste manufactured by Durvet
This product is intended for use in horses and is not an authorised veterinary medicine in GB or NI, or imported with any relevant certification.
The medicines were seized under Regulation 25 (Importation of unauthorised veterinary medicinal products) of the Veterinary Medicines Regulations 2013.
