Crime news: more providers join email rep order pilot

Larger group of providers to receive representation orders by email after submitting applications with a CRM14 eForm.

A bigger pool of providers will be able to benefit from a pilot which allows them to receive representation orders by email.

From 20 July 2015, providers using CRM14 eForms to submit applications for magistrates’ court cases heard in an additional 9 geographical areas will be added to the original pilot group.

The additional areas include:

  • Cumbria
  • Humberside
  • Lancashire
  • Leicestershire
  • Lincolnshire
  • Northamptonshire
  • Rutland
  • South Yorkshire
  • Staffordshire

The pilot began in June 2015 for applications in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. It is also available for extradition cases.

How does it work?

You should include your CJSM email address within the provider email address section of the CRM14 eForm.

You will then be sent representation orders and supporting correspondence to this CJSM email address rather than by post.

Will it be extended further?

After the 20 July extension, it will be made available to CRM14 eForm users in more areas during September and October.

What do you need to do?

Make sure you have a CJSM email to use on the CRM14 eForm.
