CMA appoints new non-executive directors
CMA welcomes newly appointed non-executive directors to the board.
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) is pleased to announce the appointment by the Secretary of State for Business and Trade of 4 new members to the CMA board. Katie Kapernaros, David Halpern, Michael Mire and Sir Suma Chakrabarti will join the CMA Board as non-executive directors.

This comes at a time when our role, and the ability for the CMA to have a positive impact on UK consumers, businesses and economy, is more critical than ever. They will help us deliver economic growth and improve household prosperity, as well as make a positive contribution to promoting competition and protecting consumers.
Non-executive directors are appointed to the CMA board by the Secretary of State for Business and Trade for a period of 5 years.
