Campaigns to promote earlier diagnosis of cancer

Professor Sir Bruce Keogh, NHS medical director, today wrote to all trust chief executives setting out plans for campaigns to help promote the earlier diagnosis of cancer.

This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

The Government has set out its ambitions to improve cancer survival rates, particularly through tackling late diagnosis of cancer. One of the campaigns due to run from the end of January 2012 is a national bowel cancer symptom awareness campaign.
