British Minister for Trade and Investment Lord Livingston will visit South Korea from 16-17 March 2015.

Lord Livingston will use the visit to sustain the momentum of bilateral commercial engagement that followed President Park’s State visit to the UK in November 2013.

He will lead a contingent of 23 UK lifestyle companies from cosmetics, baby goods, fashion accessories and the food and drink sectors taking part in a GREAT campaign sponsored Lifestyle event. He will attend the second UK-Korea Governmental Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO) where he will restate the UK’s pledge to double bilateral trade with Korea by 2020. He will also attend the second UK-Korea business-to- business CEO forum.

Speaking ahead of the visit Lord Livingston said:

The economic relationship between the UK and Korea is strong and well-established. Following the visit of President Park to London in 2013, bilateral trade relations have gone from strength to strength. I hope that my visit will build on this momentum.
