Animal medicine seizure notice: Product seized at the Port of Dover

The following products were seized by an APHA Animal Health Officer at the Port of Dover during his routine inspection of vehicles coming into the UK.

  • 209 vaccine vials of various medicines not authorised in UK
  • 60 microchip implanters, with microchips

The vials included some which had been used or part used. The products are all injectables which appear to be for use in dogs.

These medicines are not authorised veterinary medicines in the UK. The medicines were seized under Regulation 25 (Importation of unauthorised veterinary medicinal products) of the Veterinary Medicines Regulations 2013.
