The 2016 New Year’s Honours list, published on Thursday 31 December 2015, recognises a range of people for their service to women’s and LGB&T equality. These individuals have made amazing contributions over the past year, working to improve equality for women and LGB&T communities.

Amanda Ariss, former Chief Executive of the Equality and Diversity Forum, for services to equality
Paul Roberts, Chief Executive of the charity LGBT Consortium, for services to LGB&T communities
Members of the Order of the British Empire (MBE)
Barbara Gray, Women’s Institute member in Oxfordshire, for services to women’s voluntary service in Oxfordshire
Tim Sigsworth, Chief Executive, Albert Kennedy Trust, for services to young homeless LGB&T people
