Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Quality


The minister is responsible for quality at the Department of Health. Responsibilities include:

  • NHS England
  • primary care, including dentistry, urgent care and winter planning
  • Clinical Commissioning Groups
  • economic regulation and provider policy
  • medicines, pharmacy and industry
  • patient experience
  • International, including Foreign nationals and Migrant access
  • patient safety including health care acquired infection
  • NHS and DH finance
