The minister is responsible for quality at the Department of Health. Responsibilities include:
- NHS England
- primary care, including dentistry, urgent care and winter planning
- Clinical Commissioning Groups
- economic regulation and provider policy
- medicines, pharmacy and industry
- patient experience
- International, including Foreign nationals and Migrant access
- patient safety including health care acquired infection
- NHS and DH finance
