Consultation description
Public Health England has opened a consultation this week in joint partnership with professional organisations.
The consultation asks for comments about the identification SMI ‘ID 12 - Identification of Haemophilus species and the HACEK group of organisms’.
This UK Standard for Microbiology Investigation describes the identification of Haemophilus species and other members of the HACEK group (Haemophilus species, Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans (formerly Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans), Aggregatibacter aphrophilus (formerly Haemophilus aphrophilus and Haemophilus paraphrophilus), Cardiobacterium hominis, Eikenella corrodens and Kingella species.
