Public Health England has opened a consultation this week in joint partnership with professional organisations.

The consultation asks for comments about the bacteriology SMI ‘B 6 – Investigation of Specimens for Bordetella pertussis and Bordetella parapertussis’.

This UK Standard for Microbiology Investigations describes the processing and bacteriological investigation of specimens for Bordetella species. We would like input from a wide range of interested parties.
