Consultation description

The Police Pension Scheme 2015, which is a career average revalued earnings (CARE) scheme, uses Consumer Price Index (CPI) to annually revalue pensions, adjusting the value to account for inflation or other economic factors.

Other public service pension schemes like the NHS and Local Government Pension Schemes have implemented changes to their schemes to align their revaluation dates with the tax year (6 April).

This consultation invites views on a proposal to align the Police Pension 2015 CARE scheme revaluation date with the start of the tax year.
