Consultation description

We want to hear your thoughts on a proposed Environmental Delivery Plan (EDP).

EDPs are designed to address the impacts of development on specific sites and species, and are a key component of the Nature Restoration Fund.

This EDP is the first of its kind, and aims to:

• safeguard water quality and habitats from nutrient pollution arising from development
• shape how development can contribute to environmental recovery
• influence a long-term approach to protecting these SACs

The focus of this EDP

This EDP focuses on nutrient pollution caused by development, which leads to increased levels of nitrates and phosphates from wastewater and runoff, ultimately harming aquatic environments.

The EDP will explain:

• how development contributes to nutrient levels
• the risks this creates for protected habitats
• the conservation measures proposed to address the environmental impacts

Your feedback

We’re seeking views from residents, developers, environmental groups and the general public.

We want your feedback on:

• the approach and evidence used
• the proposed conservation actions
• opportunities to strengthen and improve the plan
