Social care surveys: what children and young people told Ofsted

Results of an annual survey carried out by Ofsted to highlight the views and experiences of children and young people in social care settings.

Every year, Ofsted works with social care providers to capture views about social care settings, including:

  • children’s homes
  • adoption and fostering services
  • residential family centres
  • boarding schools
  • residential special schools
  • further education colleges
  • supported accommodation

We publish our findings and data in the reports listed below.

If you are a provider planning to distribute the social care survey, please read our guidance for providers.
