Prescribed medicines: an evidence review

Information and documents on Public Health England’s review of the evidence for dependence on, and withdrawal from, prescribed medicines.

Public Health England is undertaking a public health evidence review of available data and published evidence on the problems associated with some prescribed medicines, including:

  • dependence
  • short term discontinuation syndrome
  • longer term withdrawal symptoms
