These figures provide an estimation of the spatial location of fishing activity for UK and Crown Dependency fishing vessels 12 metres and over.

The publication presents information from the Landings Enriched Approach to Positional FISHeries Data (LEAPFISH). LEAPFISH combines landings data for UK vessels and Crown Dependency vessels that are 12 metres and over, with Vessel Monitoring System (VMS) information to provide a more detailed spatial understanding of fishing activity.
LEAPFISH provides estimates of weight, value, time spent at sea and fishing effort at 0.05 c-square resolution, providing finer spatial detail than landings data published in UK Sea Fisheries Statistics
