Individuals referred to and supported through the Prevent Programme statistics
The Prevent strategy is part of the wider counter-terrorism strategy known as CONTEST, it aims to safeguard people from becoming terrorists or supporting terrorism.
As part of the move to a biannual publication cycle, data will now be released twice each year, covering both the year ending March and year ending September periods. Under this new approach, each publication will include a rolling 12-month dataset, in which the most recent six months of previously published data are refreshed alongside six months of newly published data. As a result, previously published figures for the refreshed quarters will be superseded and should no longer be used. Users should refer to the latest publication tables for the most up-to-date figures.
