Find ways to make your child arrangements

Use this service to find options for making child arrangements if you’re separating or have separated from your child’s other parent. This includes ways to agree without going to court.

Child arrangements are sometimes known as ‘child custody’ or ‘child contact’.

You’ll be asked questions about your circumstances, including your current relationship with your ex-partner. You will not be asked for any personal details.

You cannot use this service to make financial arrangements. Find out about the Child Maintenance Service.

What you can do is different in Scotland and in Northern Ireland.
