This call was updated on 23 August 2017 and 2 November 2017 regarding project extensions. The call LEP Area Indicative Fund Allocation has also been increased from £4,000,000 to £8,100,000. It was further updated on 12 September 2017 to clarify dates. The deadline for this call has been extended to the 26 January 2018.
This call is looking to enhance the competitiveness of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and specifically:
- promote entrepreneurship, in particular by facilitating the economic exploitation of new ideas and fostering the creation of new firms, including through business incubators
- support the creation and the extension of advanced capacities for products, services and development
- support the capacity of small and medium sized enterprises to grow in regional, national and international markets and to engage in innovation processes

Up to £8,100,000 of funding is available through this call. A minimum value of £500,000 of funding can be applied for.

It is anticipated that funding from this call will be awarded for up to 3 years.
