Call to run a project which will support activity to improve the opportunities within SME's - providing placements, work experience and higher level apprenticeships in Liverpool City Region.

Details

The activity should focus on the brokerage of opportunities between learners and employers to ensure that they have the work ready skills that employers need, including those employability skills set out in the Liverpool City Region Skills for Growth Plan for Employability.

This call also supports engaging businesses with Universities and Further Education providers and taking an active role in designing a higher levels skills system. The proposal is for projects to support businesses to take on more student and graduate recruitment and placement activity to ensure it meets local needs, has appropriate links between provider and employer and the skills system can respond to future higher-level skills needs (including Higher and Degree Level Apprenticeships).

Through this Call we encourage consortia or partnership applications and the preference is to make one funding award.

Value

Approximately £ 3.6m of funding is available.

Deadlines

Full application deadline: 30 May 2019

Completion date

The project must be completed no later than 3 years and 6 months after the proposed start date.
