Disability premium is an extra amount automatically added to your Income Support or income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA) if you qualify for it.
You could get at least:
- £32.55 a week - single person
- £46.40 a week - couples
You might get more if you qualify for the extra parts – the severe disability premium and the enhanced disability premium.
If you get income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) you can’t get the basic disability premium, but you may still qualify for the severe and enhanced premiums.
Any money you get is added to your Income Support payments automatically so you don’t usually have to apply for a disability premium.
