How and where you provide your documents depends on how you prove your identity.

If you prove your identity using the UK Immigration: ID check app

You upload your documents in the “Provide evidence” section at the end of your online application form.

Find out more about how to prepare and upload documents.

If you prove your identity in person at an appointment

You upload your documents to the UKVCAS online service after completing your online application form.

You can access the UKVCAS online service by signing into your application and clicking “Provide documents and biometrics” on the “Further actions” page.

You may be able to get your documents scanned at your UKVCAS appointment for an extra fee. You will be told if you can when you book your appointment.

If you make a mistake in your application

You can make changes to your answers before you start the payment process in the application form.

Once you have started paying, you can no longer make changes. You may need to cancel your application and start a new one instead.
