The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) and Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA) have merged to form the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).

Once the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) gets your application they will contact you by email so they can take payment on your credit or debit card. You can also pay by pre-funded account.

The person making the application must be the account holder or a specified delegate on the account.

You’ll then be told when your VIC (Vehicle Identity Check) appointment is.

Whoever makes the application must be the card holder. You’ll also need the car’s registration number when making your payment.

*Normal opening hours for VIC sites are Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm, and Friday 8am to 4:30pm. Tests can sometimes be arranged outside these hours - ask about this when you make your payment.
