Full and provisional driving licence applications

If you’ve already made an online driving licence application you can track its progress.

This service is also available in Welsh (Cymraeg).

If you sent any information by post, it’ll take longer than usual to process your application because of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Track your application

You’ll need your application reference number. This was emailed to you after you applied, and will usually be 14 digits long.

If your reference number starts with ‘FP’ followed by 10 letters, you’ll need to use a different tracking service.

If you have a 14-digit reference number, use this service to track your application.
