You can get a decision on your visa within 10 working days if you apply to extend or switch to a tier 2 visa using the Tier 2 Priority Service.
You can only use this service if you are in the UK.
You can use the service for the following visas:

Family members (‘dependants’)
You should send applications for family members (‘dependants’) who’ll be staying with you in the UK in the same envelope as your application.
Dependant applications sent in different envelopes will be considered separately - they’ll be charged the full application fee if their applications don’t arrive on the same day as the main application.
You’ll need to have your fingerprints and photograph (known as ‘biometric information’) taken at a Post Office as part of your application - this will cost £19.20.
You and any dependants must do this within 2 working days of receiving the biometric notification letter.
You’ll receive the letter after your application is accepted onto the priority application scheme, you’ve paid the fee and sent your application.
