1. Consent to be designated

2. Interim authority notice

A notice can be given where a licence has lapsed due to death, incapacity or insolvency of the premise licence holder and no application has been made for a transfer application to have immediate effect. The notice must be given within seven working days, beginning with the day after the licence lapsed.

3. Application to transfer premises licence

A transfer will only change the identity of the holder of the licence and does not alter the licence in any other way.

4. Application to vary a premises licence to specify an individual as designated premises supervisor

Where alcohol is sold under a premises licence, there needs to be a personal licence holder specified as the Designated Premises Supervisor. This ensures that when the premises sell alcohol to the public, there is someone with overall responsibility for the sale of alcohol who can be readily identified and held to account.

5. Application for a minor variation to a premises or club certificate

A minor variation will generally fall into one of four categories. Minor changes to the structure of layout of the premises; Small adjustments to licensing hours; the removal of out of date, irrelevant or un-enforceable conditions, or additional volunteered conditions; the addition of certain licensable activities. It cannot be used to: Extend the period for which a premises licence has effect; Vary substantially the premises; Change the Designated Premises Supervisor; Add the sale of alcohol as a licensable activity, or; Authorise the sale of alcohol at any time between 23:00 hours and 07:00 hours or increase the amount of time on any day which alcohol may be sold.

6. Application to vary a premises licence

An application may be made to vary a 'the terms, conditions or restrictions on or subject to which the licence is held'.

7. Notification of an interest in premises under section 178

A person with a property interest in any premises situated within the Local Authority can give notice of his interest in the prescribed form to be notified of any application or change to the premises for a period of 12 months.

8. Notification of change of name or address

The name and address of both the Premises Licence Holder and Designated Premises Supervisor si printed on Part A of the Licence. The Local Authority needs to be notified of any changes to ensure that the Premises Licence is kept valid.
