Summary of the UK-Palestinian Authority political, trade and partnership agreement

Information on the trade agreement with the Palestinian Authority, replicating the effects of the EU-Palestinian Authority agreement.

This agreement will take effect if the UK leaves the EU with no deal.

What the agreement covers

The UK-Palestinian Authority political, trade and partnership agreement is the basis for political, economic and trade relations between the UK and the Palestinian Authority. It maintains the effects of the EU-Palestinian Authority agreement in a bilateral context.

The UK-Palestinian Authority agreement covers:

  • trade in goods – including provisions on rules of origin and tariffs
  • limited areas of services, competition and intellectual property
  • wider cooperation

When the agreement is active

This agreement will take effect after Brexit, when the EU-Palestinian Authority agreement no longer applies to the UK.
