Awareness raising slide set
The aim of the cold weather risks and their impact on health slide set is to:
- raise awareness of the health impacts of cold weather
- provide a resource that can be used to engage with partners
- aid in planning and decision-making for the winter
It gives an overview of the evidence base and epidemiology of cold-associated deaths and links to additional resources.
The resource is aimed at:
- national institutions, such as the UK Health Security Agency, NHS England, the Department of Health and Social Care, and the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities
- commissioners of health and social care, such as local authorities, integrated care boards, integrated care partnerships, directors of public health, local resilience forums and health and wellbeing boards
- providers of health, such as primary care, secondary care and social care providers
- community and voluntary sector
