Applies to England

What to do if you already have a woodland creation grant application or agreement

If you have a current application or agreement under one of the following grant schemes with the Forestry Commission (FC) or Rural Payments Agency (RPA) and you would like to apply to the England Woodland Creation Offer (EWCO), you may be able to do so subject to some constraints:

  • Countryside Stewardship Woodland Creation Grant and Woodland Creation Maintenance (RPA)
  • Woodland Carbon Fund (FC)
  • HS2 Woodland Fund (FC)

The RPA and the Forestry Commission will be contacting all relevant applicants and agreement holders who we believe may be eligible to apply to EWCO, by 16 June 2021. Read Can I move my project from an existing woodland creation scheme to the England Woodland Creation Offer?: operations note 54 to learn more about who is in scope and what actions you will need to take.

What to do if you want to change your woodland creation proposal or project

If you want to change the details of your proposal or project (such as its size or species mix) to come into EWCO, and you have already started or completed the regulatory and formal consultation processes with the Forestry Commission, read Amending woodland creation projects: operations note 55 to learn about what you need to do.
