Get your import VAT and duty adjustment statements

Check the final amounts of import VAT and duty due online if you make declarations using the Customs Declaration Service.

If the correct value and duty due on goods is not clear at the time of import, you may be asked to pay an additional amount as a security or deposit. You’ll need to pay this before the goods are released through customs.

Once the final value of the goods and the duty is agreed, we’ll adjust the charge. This means you may:

  • get a refund
  • have to pay extra duty

If you make declarations using the Customs Declaration Service, you can check these adjustments by viewing your import adjustment statements.
