Types of apprenticeships that you can apply for in the floristry sector.

This apprenticeship is suitable for people who want to use their knowledge of plants and flowers to design and assemble floral displays.

Training opportunities

You’ll learn management, negotiation and sales techniques, and stock control. You’ll need to be well-trained and hard-working to succeed as a florist.

You’ll study how to:

  • maintain the condition of plants for sale
  • make a variety of wedding and funeral arrangements
  • process payments

Types of apprenticeships

There are 2 types of floristry apprenticeships.

Intermediate level apprenticeship

You could train in roles like:

  • junior florist
  • florist

Advanced level apprenticeship

You could train in roles like:

  • florist manager
  • senior florist

Apply for a floristry apprenticeship

You can become an apprentice in England if you’re:

  • 16 or over
  • eligible to work in England
  • not in full-time education
