Fix Your Bike Voucher Scheme: register as a bike repairer
How to apply to participate if you are a bike repairer.

The Fix Your Bike Voucher Scheme allows members of the public to receive a voucher worth up to £50 towards the cost of repairing a bike.
The vouchers can only be used with bike repair businesses that are registered for the scheme.
Registrations are open for bike repair businesses that want to take part until 5pm on 7 May 2021.

Eligibility
Bike repairers must be located in England.
As a bike repairer, you must meet certain eligibility criteria including the possession of valid public liability insurance with a minimum cover of £2 million. When registering, you will need to provide some information about your business along with evidence that you have the necessary insurance to carry out cycle repairs.

How to apply
If you are a bike repairer, you can apply to be part of the scheme on the Energy Saving Trust website. The deadline for new registrations is 5pm on 7 May 2021.
How the scheme works
- Apply to become a registered Fix Your Bike Voucher Scheme bike repairer or mechanic on the Energy Saving Trust website.
- Bike owners will be able to apply for a voucher online and bring their bike to you to be fixed, using the voucher to cover up to £50 of the cost of repairs.
- Using the bike owner’s voucher code, you can then claim back the cost of the discount (up to £50 per bike) online.
- Energy Saving Trust will refund you on our behalf on a weekly basis.
Background
The Fix Your Bike Voucher Scheme has been set up to encourage more people to embrace cycling as a means of travel during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and beyond. Cycling is an excellent way to travel while maintaining social distancing.
The scheme aims to help increase the number of short journeys made by bike rather than private cars. This shift will have huge benefits for:
- the climate
- public health and wellbeing
- road congestion
- air quality
