The BBC and Channel 4 have paved the way for Level 4 higher apprentices to enter the sector, and have opened up many opportunities for those who want to get stuck into work instead of studying a degree in broadcast production.

Types of apprenticeships

This is a higher level apprenticeship. You’ll be employed as a production co-ordinator, experiencing work in both public and independent broadcasting.

Apply for an broadcast production apprenticeship

You can become an apprentice in England if you’re:

  • 16 or over
  • eligible to work in England
  • not in full-time education
