Analyse School Performance (ASP)

The ASP service supported school improvement initiatives by offering detailed reports on pupil attainment and progress.

From December 2026 use Compare and connect with similar schools to:

• compare your school’s performance with similar schools
• identify where your school is performing well and where it could improve
• view headline school performance measures

You can also find school data on:

• View your education data - for key stage results, question level analysis (QLA), phonics and multiplication tables check (MTC) data
• Explore education statistics - for headline school and college performance measures as well as data on exclusions, including local and national averages

Data from Analyse School Performance

To view data from ASP you need to:

1. request access to View your education data
2. request access to the ‘Analyse school performance data’ sub-service in DfE sign-in

ASP provided education professionals with comprehensive performance data to facilitate school improvement. It was for:

• school leaders
• governors
• local authorities
• multi-academy trusts
• single academy trusts
• dioceses
• training providers
• Ofsted
• Department for Education (DfE)

The service supported primary and secondary accountability policies and school improvement initiatives by offering detailed reports on pupil attainment and progress.

These reports cover various student groups, including those who:

• are disadvantaged
• have special educational needs (SEN)
• are non-mobile
• have English as a first, or additional, language
