The Science and Innovation Network promotes and facilitates international collaboration in research and innovation.

The UK Science and Innovation Network in New Zealand helps to build commercially-orientated UK-NZ research and development collaborations.

SIN is jointly funded by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. The Network is made up of over 110 officers based in over 40 countries around the world.

SIN works across the entire UK science and innovation landscape supporting UK stakeholders to make international connections, set up strategic collaborations and leverage research and innovation funding, driving global prosperity and growth.

In New Zealand, SIN is represented by one officer based at the British High Commission in Wellington. We work closely with Trade Policy, Economic Diplomacy and the Department of International Trade to deliver maximum benefit for UK researchers and firms engaged in research.
