British Embassy Tashkent invites applications for grants

The British Embassy in Uzbekistan's Bilateral Programme Budget provides small grant support for a range of projects

The British Embassy invites all interested persons and organizations to apply for small grant support (between USD 1,000 and 10,000) to implement projects in the following priority fields:

  • human rights
  • good governance and rule of law
  • freedom of expression
  • development of civil society institutions
  • criminal and judicial reform
  • prevention of torture
  • support for the development of small business enterprises particularly focused on disadvantaged sectors of society

The successful project proposals will demonstrate value for money, with budgets clearly allocating in detail expected expenditure. Proposals will be selected on a competitive basis and may be granted either full or partial funding in order to implement project activities between 1 June 2013 and 31 March 2014.

How to apply

Please follow the guidance below:

  • make sure that your proposed project responds to the Embassy’s project priorities
  • fill out the project proposal form
  • follow closely the guidance on how to fill out project proposal form
  • no later than 16 May 2013 send to the Embassy your project proposal bid electronically to: brit@emb.uz
  • indicate in message subject line: BPB2013-2014: Name of your project proposal
  • please note that the Embassy may contact bidders to request additional information regarding their project proposals
  • successful bidders only will be informed after 1 June 2013
