A Zagreb tram with GREAT logo
British Embassy sponsored a Zagreb tram decked out with the GREAT logo to welcome Croatia to the EU on 1 July 2013 and also to promote the UK as an economic partner for Croatia. At the launch of the tram, Ambassador David Slinn said that the UK welcomed Croatia into the EU and stood ready to share its knowledge and expertise to assist Croatia in getting the most of EU membership in a number of issues, from judiciary to entrepreneurship.
British embassy staff in Zagreb are dedicated much of their time in promoting trade and investment between the UK and Croatia in order to strengthen our economic partnership. Croatia has carried through far-fetching reforms in economy and public administration. Still, the UK looks forward to Croatia creating a fully friendly business environment.
The tram will be seen on the streets of Zagreb until mid-August.
