Statistics on rate of Vehicle Excise Duty (VED, or vehicle tax) evasion among vehicles seen on UK roads in 2023.
In 2023, there was an estimated:
- 1.3% of vehicles in UK traffic that were unlicensed
- 498,000 unlicensed vehicles in UK active stock, or 1.2% of all vehicles
