These monthly experimental statistics include the total number of people:

  • who have made a claim for Universal Credit to 8 November 2018
  • who have made a claim and have attended an initial interview, accepted their claimant commitment, and gone on to start Universal Credit up to 8 November 2018
  • who are on Universal Credit at 8 November 2018

The statistics are broken down by:

  • Jobcentre Plus office
  • age
  • employment status
  • conditionality regime

DWP is currently investigating a discrepancy with the data on duration on Universal Credit. While we assess the scale of this issue we have removed this breakdown from Stat-Xplore. Caution should be used when viewing this breakdown via other mechanisms (such as supplementary tables).

  • claims and starts to Universal Credit

Data for people on Universal Credit will still be available in Stat-Xplore and ODS tables on a monthly basis. The next PDF bulletin will be published in February 2019.
