The smoking profile has been designed to help local government and health services assess the effect of smoking on their local populations. The data is presented in an interactive tool that allows users to view it in a user-friendly format.
New data has been added to the smoking profile for indicators for:
-
adult prevalence of current smokers, former smokers and those who have never smoked, including information about occupational groups (Annual Population Survey (APS) data)
-
referrals to stop smoking services and information about quitting
-
adult smoking prevalence for those admitted to treatment for substance misuse (alcohol) (National Drug Treatment Monitoring System (NDTMS) data)
Updated indicators are available at local authority level and for integrated care boards (ICBs), as well as for England and the English regions.
