Seasonal influenza vaccine uptake in frontline healthcare workers, England: 1 September 2025 to 30 November 2025 graphs

Updated 18 December 2025

Applies to England

A total of 40.1% of all frontline healthcare workers have been vaccinated for influenza (437,874 of 1,091,164). This includes NHS trusts (secondary care) and GP practices (primary care). NHS trusts (secondary care) represent data from acute, ambulance, care, community, mental health, other NHS trusts and independent sector health care providers (ISHCPs).

Broken down by primary and secondary care, the totals are 40.6%, (420,989 of 1,036,992) for NHS trusts, and 50.0% (4,442 of 8,888) for GP practices, as reported in Table 1 and Table 6 of the accompanying spreadsheet.

This data represents the organisations making a return, or who have completed their campaign: 184 trusts (78.3%) and 245 GP practices (3.8%).

Caution should be used when interpreting provisional monthly data. Following further data validation checks, or additional data being received retrospectively, future publication of the data may change slightly from the initial publication. Due to high response rates in the provisional data, trends remain the same when data is updated retrospectively. The data for last season (2024 to 2025) has changed slightly from the initial publication of provisional data, at this time point last year.
