The Seaside and Country Homes Scheme helps London Boroughs and participating London-based housing associations to make the best use of their social housing stock by enabling households aged 60 and above to relocate to specific properties in other parts of the south and east of England.
Some 5-8% of the scheme’s 3,200 properties become empty each year and these are filled with eligible households from London through this scheme.
