Changes to these statistics
We have made some changes to these statistics as set out in section 2.4 of the publication. Any feedback on these changes can be sent to us via the contact details below.
Estimates of casualties in drink-drive road collisions in Great Britain for 2024 show that:
- between 190 and 250 fatalities, with a central estimate of 220 fatalities, a decline of 16% from 2023
- about 1,740 people killed or seriously injured, a decline of 6% from 2023
- around 6,350 casualties of all severities, little change from 2023
Alongside these statistics, we have updated the feasibility study on drugs in reported road fatalities to include 2024 data.
