Palliative and end of life care profiles: March 2020 data update
The profiles provide an overview of palliative and end of life care in England at various geographies.

The update for March 2020 including 3 new indicators has been published by Public Health England (PHE).
The 3 indicators include data for 2015 to 2018 describing the percentage of deaths with three or more emergency hospital admissions in the last three months of life in clinical commissioning groups (CCGs), sustainability and transformation partnerships (STPs) and NHS regions for deaths of:
- all ages
- 75 years and older
- under 75 years
The Palliative and end of life care profiles are designed to improve the availability and accessibility of information. They are intended to help local government and health services to improve care at the end of life.
